(สันสกฤต) หลักคำสอนว่าด้วยขณะิกะ หรือความที่สิ่งทั้งหลายดำรงอยู่เพียงชั่วขณะ เป็นทฤษฎีสำคัญในพุทธศาสนาที่ยืนยันว่าสังขตธรรมทั้งปวงล้วนอยู่ในสภาวะแห่งความแปรปรวนอย่างต่อเนื่อง และดำรงอยู่เพียงชั่วขณะเดียวก่อนที่จะดับไป

(Sanskrit) The doctrine of momentariness. A central Buddhist theory which asserts that all conditioned things are in a constant state of flux and exist only for a single moment before passing away.
